Die Maintenance Technician to join a thriving manufacturing company in the Humble, Texas area. The
Die Maintenance Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and preparing industrial dies and tooling used in high-volume manufacturing operations.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $26.00–$32.00/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Fixed 2-2-3 schedule, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
Die Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:- Inspect, maintain, repair, and prepare production dies and tooling.
- Perform polishing, reconditioning, cleaning, and minor machining of tooling.
- Conduct dimensional inspections to verify tooling condition and specifications.
- Prepare and assemble tooling sets according to production requirements.
- Diagnose tooling wear, damage, and performance issues.
- Assist with root-cause analysis involving tooling-related product or process problems.
- Track tooling usage, maintenance history, condition, and replacement requirements.
- Maintain accurate tooling inventory and traceability records.
- Enter maintenance and inventory information into applicable systems.
- Coordinate tooling readiness with production and maintenance personnel.
- Support improvements designed to extend tooling life and improve manufacturing performance.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas according to established 5S and safety practices.
- Follow all plant safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Die Maintenance Technician Skills and Abilities:- Mechanical aptitude and strong hands-on troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of industrial dies, tooling, or machining processes.
- Ability to polish and recondition precision tooling.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and metrology.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and measurements.
- Familiarity with extrusion or drawing tooling is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
- ERP/SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong safety mindset.
- Ability to work a fixed day or night 12-hour schedule.
Die Maintenance Technician Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training in machining, tooling, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Previous die maintenance, tool and die, machining, tooling, extrusion, wire drawing, or similar experience strongly preferred.
- Equivalent hands-on industrial maintenance or tooling experience will be considered.
