A fast-growing manufacturing company is seeking a Die Maintenance Technician to join the team. The Die Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functionality, maintenance, and optimal condition of extrusion and drawing dies, supporting production continuity and product quality standards.

Type of Position: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Manage tooling lifecycle including creation, usage, maintenance, disposal, and replacement requests.
  • Perform die maintenance activities such as polishing, reconditioning, and minor machining according to technical specifications.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections and technical evaluations of dies and tooling to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
  • Analyze tooling performance and support root cause analysis for product defects or process deviations.
  • Prepare, assemble, and ensure readiness of tooling sets for extrusion and drawing operations based on production plans.
  • Control and manage tooling inventory using SAP, including stock levels, traceability, and system updates.
  • Record and report maintenance activities, tooling conditions, and production data in systems for traceability and continuous improvement.
  • Support process optimization in extrusion and drawing operations, collaborating with production teams to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure proper use, handling, and preservation of tools, equipment, and work environment standards (5S).
  • Comply with safety, quality, and operational procedures, reporting risks, deviations, and incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Technical training in machining, tooling, or related field (preferred)
  • Equivalent hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance experience will be considered
  • At least 1 year of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of die maintenance, polishing, and dimensional metrology (preferred)
  • Familiarity with industrial safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Proactivity, teamwork, assertive communication, strong safety mindset, and ability to work under pressure and rotating shifts
