    Diagnostic Services Registered Nurse (RN)  – La Jolla, CA

     

    A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients undergoing specialized diagnostic and imaging procedures. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who enjoy patient education, clinical assessments, and providing high-quality care in an outpatient setting.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct patient assessments and monitor patient status before, during, and after diagnostic procedures

    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

    • Assist with specialized testing and imaging-related procedures

    • Monitor patient responses and intervene appropriately when needed

    • Educate patients regarding procedures, preparation requirements, and follow-up care

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

    • Promote infection prevention and patient safety standards

    • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care

    • Support quality patient care initiatives and department workflow

    • Provide compassionate and professional patient-centered care

    Qualifications

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Previous nursing experience required

    • Outpatient, diagnostic services, procedural, or imaging experience preferred

    • Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
