Baptist Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for our Ultrasound Department at the Hill Breast Center in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN Days opportunity.

At Baptist Health, our Diagnostic Sonographers play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care through advanced imaging by performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, assisting physicians, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Responsibilities:

• Performs high-quality, diagnostic ultrasound and peripheral vascular procedures

• Promotes goodwill among coworkers and other departments and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients

• Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements

Experience Requirements:

• 1-2 Years Experience Working in a Hospital Setting

• 1-2 Years Hospital-based department-specific work experience

• Ultrasound Experience

• Experience with vascular ultrasound

• 1-2 Years Customer Service Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Vocational School

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) - ARDMS Preferred

• Registered Radiologic Technologist- ARRT Preferred

• Registered Technologist in Sonography - ARRT Preferred

• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - CCI - Cardiovascular Preferred

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - ARDMS Preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS)-AHA Required

If hired, must obtain certification in Sonography from the ARDMS or ARRT (S) and RVT or ARRT(VS) or RVS within 12 months of hire.
