Position Overview:
The Diagnostic Implementation & Quality Assurance Specialist will support the development of operations related to diagnostics conducted with the Effective Schools Framework and Effective District Framework, including logistics for training, stakeholder communications, vendor support, and the facilitation and management of data systems to track and progress monitor training and facilitator effectiveness.
The Diagnostic Implementation & Quality Assurance Specialist will also support internal alignment of diagnostics content, language, and reporting and establish systems for collecting and analyzing data and providing feedback to inform continuous improvement. Additionally, this role includes a focus on quality assurance evaluations aligned to the program and department goals. The diagnostic process will be implemented through the following programmatic vehicles: The Effective Schools Framework (ESF), The Effective District Framework (EDF), and Texas Strategic Leadership (TSL).
The Diagnostic Implementation & Quality Assurance Specialist will report to the Director of Diagnostics Strategy and Development, closely partnering with the director and senior agency leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate the supports above. The Specialist will be responsible for data management related to diagnostics content training and supports. The role will involve interactions and relationship-building with ESCs, external vendors, and internal TEA and external stakeholder engagement to ensure content and supports provided incorporate our strongest content expertise and field feedback.
This role sits within TEA's Division of District Strategic Leadership, which supports superintendents, districts, and campuses across Texas with strategic planning, performance management, and research-based best practices.
Flexible work location within the state of Texas may be considered for qualified candidates.

EDF and ESF Diagnostic Quality Assurance and Certification Support: co-facilitate the diagnostic training and certification process, including supporting the facilitation of EDF and ESF Diagnostic overview and certification training; work in conjunction with the vendor to support the Effective District Framework and Effective Schools Framework Diagnostic certification process by providing relevant updates on completion and competency checks; support with monitoring the quality of diagnostic reports and the delivery of calibration sessions to ensure consistency and integrity of service across facilitators
Cross-initiative Collaboration and Alignment: facilitate cross-initiative alignment by designing and leading structured calibration sessions with internal stakeholders, while systematically collecting and synthesizing internal and external feedback to identify trends, surface inconsistencies, and drive cohesive decision-making; translate insights into actionable guidance that ensures consistent implementation, continuous improvement, and alignment to organizational priorities across initiatives
Diagnostics Data Management: monitor the quality of diagnostic processes, reports, deadlines, and training on an ongoing basis. Support the collection, analysis, and tracking of diagnostic data across EDF and ESF diagnostics; collaborate with vendors to provide data reports, dashboards, and presentations to support analysis of individual, regional, and state diagnostic data
Performance Management and Continuous Improvement: review training exit tickets, internal and external survey data, and programmatic metric data; incorporate the feedback and input to continuously improve upon content and training development for campus and district diagnostic supports
