Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary:   This position prioritizes, provides, and promotes quality patient care to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of Swedish Medical Center.  This position manages all personnel, supplies, and equipment for the departments and promotes teamwork with physicians, personnel, and other departments.  At the direction of the Director of Patient Care for Medical Imaging, oversee the technical staff in the designated sections of the Medical Imaging Department. This person will make recommendations to the Director of Patient Care for Medical Imaging regarding equipment modification and essential construction within the department.  Oversee technical procedures and work flow to ensure safe and effective patient care.  Act as a role model and facilitator working in collaboration with all levels of the Medical Imaging Department’s personnel, as well as the referring physicians and hospital departments. This person shall manage staffing, patient and physician concerns, as well as clinical activities. Assume the responsibility of the Medical Imaging Department in the director’s absence.  When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by the director. Assistant Director maintains 24 hour accountability.
