Job Title: Diabetic Nurse Educator – Maternal Child

Salary: $41.00 – $65.00/hour

Position Summary:
Seeking a Diabetic Nurse Educator to provide diabetes education and support to patients and families. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing education plans, delivering individual/group education sessions, and promoting effective diabetes self-management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide diabetes education on nutrition, medications, glucose monitoring, and lifestyle management.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized education plans.
• Conduct one-on-one and group education sessions.
• Document education and patient outcomes in EMR.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support quality patient care.

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Nevada preferred/required).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 3+ years of hospital clinical nursing experience.
• 1+ year of diabetes educator experience.
• CDCES certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• BLS certification (AHA).
