Responsibilities:

The Diabetes Nurse Educator will provide education, assessment, follow-up and care of outpatients in both the Endocrinology Center for Bone Health and the Diabetes Center, to include adolescents, children, adults and pregnant patients. The Diabetes Nurse Educator will work cooperatively as part of the Diabetes Management Team, to provide outpatient care and follow up of the patient under the direction of the Endocrinologist. The team management may occur in a group setting or individually with patients. The Diabetes Nurse Educator may be responsible for adjustment of insulin and medication doses. The Diabetes Nurse Educator will follow Medical Staff guidelines in regards to any policies or procedures outlined for clinical care purposes.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Diabetes Management experience necessary
  • Must have Endocrine practice experience 
  • State of Maryland Registered Nurse license 
  • Certified Diabetes Educator
Min: USD $31.94/Hr. Max: USD $57.49/Hr. Salary Information: Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications. Benefits:
