In Botswana, Palladium supports the Government of Botswana in strengthening health information systems, digital health platforms, and supply chain systems to improve the availability and management of essential health commodities.

Position Summary

Palladium is seeking an experienced DHIS2 Developer (Supply Chain) to support the design, development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of DHIS2-based supply chain information systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Ministry of Health, supply chain stakeholders, and technical partners to develop digital solutions that improve logistics data management, commodity visibility, reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, develop, and maintain DHIS2 applications and modules supporting supply chain management.
• Develop and customize metadata, Tracker programs, Event Capture, datasets, indicators, dashboards, reports, and analytics within DHIS2.
• Build APIs and integrations between DHIS2, eLMIS, ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and other health information platforms.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for commodity forecasting, inventory management, stock monitoring, and supply chain performance.
• Support data migration, testing, deployment, user training, and production support.
• Troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and prepare technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with interoperability standards and data security requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of DHIS2 development experience.
• Strong knowledge of DHIS2 Tracker, Event Capture, Metadata Configuration, Dashboards, Indicators, Analytics, and Reporting.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, Git, HTML/CSS, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience integrating DHIS2 with eLMIS, ERP systems, or other health information systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
