Job Summary for Certification Data Analyst

- Lead the development of outcome statements and operational reporting for Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) projects.
- Collaborate with Business Leads, Project Teams, functional/matrix managers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure Medicaid and CMS criteria are met.
- Support Leadership and Managers in planning and executing CMS certification activities for complex system implementations.
- Gather, clean, transform, and ensure the quality and accuracy of data from multiple sources.
- Apply statistical methods and analytical tools to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within data.
- Administer and maintain the outcome statements database.
- Create clear visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to present data insights.
- Draft MES outcome statements and metrics for program and project teams.
- Identify problems and develop data-driven solutions to improve business processes.
- Maintain timelines for the Operational Workbook Report (OWR).
- Collaborate with teams to create and update state-specific outcome statements.
- Contribute outcome statements to Advanced Planning Documents (APDs).
- Attend and facilitate meetings to present findings to stakeholders.
- Provide support to project leads and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) regarding certification questions.
- Participate in CMS certification presentations and reviews.
- Utilize spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets) and data visualization software.
- Employ project tracking tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, MITAPulse) and adhere to implementation methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Leverage knowledge of Medicaid, MMIS, claims processing, and healthcare analytics as needed.

Required Experience:
- 3+ years with CMS Medicaid Enterprise Systems/federal regulations and MMIS/CMS certification.
- 5+ years with spreadsheets, data-driven organizational improvement, client-facing system implementation, data visualization tools, and healthcare analytics (preferred).
- 3+ years with CMS Medicaid Enterprise Certification Life Cycle, project tracking tools, and SDLC methodologies.
- Experience with Medicaid/MMIS claims (preferred).
