Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Phoenix AZ
Terms: Full-time (Direct Hire) with Benefits
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment and systems. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of industrial maintenance, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing/foundry environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical system malfunctions.
- Install electrical components in accordance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
- Install conduit and run electrical wiring through conduit.
- Repair, maintain, and replace electrical equipment and components.
- Test wiring and electrical connections using test equipment such as volt/ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
- Observe mechanical equipment during operation and identify sources of malfunction through visual and auditory inspection.
- Lubricate, clean, adjust, and maintain machinery and equipment.
- Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective components.
- Inspect parts for wear, damage, imperfections, and dimensional changes.
- Adjust functional components and control instruments to ensure proper operation.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components.
- Install specialized functional and structural components.
- Use machine tools for equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Set up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking equipment to fabricate or repair parts.
- Perform brazing/welding as required.
- Initiate purchase orders for parts, equipment, and machinery as needed.
- Start and test equipment after repairs to verify proper performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

The candidate should be comfortable working with industrial machinery and possess a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
