Description

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Work Location: San Diego, CA 92121 (Onsite)

Contract duration: 11 Months

Pay Rate: $55/hr. on W2

Job Description:

A seasoned AWS professional capable of leading cloud transformation initiatives, establishing cloud governance, optimizing cloud operations, and driving enterprise adoption of AWS best practices.

Must have skills:

  1. Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Platform.

  2. Expertise in AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, API Gateway, Route 53, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch.

  3. Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

  4. Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.

  5. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains.

  6. Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes platforms.

  7. Experience in cloud migration and modernization projects.

  8. Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale AWS cloud environments using services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, ECS/EKS, and IAM.

  2. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

  3. Lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives for enterprise applications.

  4. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar DevOps tools.

  5. Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, and AWS EKS.

  6. Establish monitoring, logging, and observability using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools.

  7. Ensure cloud environments meet security, governance, compliance, and audit requirements through IAM, encryption, and network security controls.

  8. Drive cloud cost optimization and operational efficiency using AWS native tools and FinOps best practices.

  9. Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, high availability, and business continuity planning.

  10. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to engineering teams.
