Introduction

We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, systems administration, and software engineering. This role requires a deep understanding of automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, or a similar software engineering role.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for task automation.
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for automating server provisioning and configuration.
  • Experience in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools like Kibana or DataDog.
  • Ability to implement security best practices and manage system reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Cross-platform administration experience with Windows and Linux.
  • Experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) using SSO, OAuth, and Role-based Access Control.
  • Knowledge of Finance Cloud Platforms by Oracle and SAP.
  • Certification in cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to Agile and DevSecOps practices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines to enhance software delivery processes.
  • Automate server provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor system health and performance, setting up alerts and dashboards as necessary.
  • Ensure system security and reliability, managing secrets and troubleshooting outages.
