Our Direct client is hiring: Hybrid to Alpharetta, GA Position Title: DevOps/Cloud Engineer Position Summary:- Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and build AWS-native, agentic AI solutions using services such as Amazon Bedrock, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and OpenSearch.
- Develop and integrate AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning, tool invocation, and workflow orchestration.
- Build and integrate tooling layers (e.g., MCP-based tools, APIs, internal services) that enable agents to safely and securely interact with enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and architecture teams to define greenfield AI platform capabilities.
- Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on agent workflows, balancing speed with reliability.
- Implement observability and monitoring using AWS-native tools (e.g., CloudWatch) to track agent behavior, performance, and failures.
- Contribute to architectural decisions around agent orchestration, security boundaries, and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in a collaborative Agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in a Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or Site Reliability role.
- In-depth knowledge of core AWS platform services, networking concepts (DNS, VPN, subnets, routing), and cloud security.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Lambdas, Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/EKS, ECS).
- Strong proficiency in Python, Bash, or Java for automation tasks.
- Practical experience with agentic AI concepts, such as: LLM-based agents, Tool calling and orchestration, Multi-step reasoning workflows
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing, testing, and maintaining reusable Terraform modules and managing state files securely.
- Comfort working in greenfield environments with evolving requirements.
- Ability to experiment quickly, iterate, and learn new technologies as the ecosystem evolves.
