Job Description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud platforms and a proven ability to design, automate, and operate secure, scalable containerized applications from development through production.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, administer, and maintain OpenShift clusters and Kubernetes-based environments across lifecycle stages.
• Manage WAS servers, build pipelines, deployment plans, and release components.
• Implement CI/CD using Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible, and Git with automated quality gates.
• Develop and support Java/J2EE applications and related runtime configurations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application and platform performance using Splunk and related tools.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for cloud provisioning and operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum settings to deliver secure and reliable releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Kubernetes and OpenShift architecture, configuration, deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and environment setup.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, AI Agents, Generative AI solutions, or similar AI-powered development platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and automation frameworks.
• Strong development background in Java/J2EE for enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with Eclipse, Splunk, and related engineering and monitoring tools.
• Experience with code quality and review tools such as SonarQube and Crucible.
• Thorough understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and continuous delivery practices.
• Experience designing and operating cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience monitoring, tuning, and optimizing cloud performance, availability, scalability, and cost.
• Proven ability to build and maintain automation scripts and IaC for provisioning, deployment, and operations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.

Preferred Skills:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent advanced degree.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Bitbucket and enterprise DevOps practices.

Role Logistics & Interview Process

• Approved location: Charlotte, NC. Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week.
• Target start: Oct/Nov. Maximum 3 submissions per vendor.
• Interview: 1-2 rounds. Video required. In-person required. Glider ID verification required.
• Sponsorship: Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
