Introduction

Join our team as a skilled DevOps Engineer specializing in GitLab CI/CD and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves building and managing scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating deployment processes with change-management systems, and collaborating on cloud deployment templates. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can drive innovation and contribute to modern cloud-native delivery practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, or JavaScript, along with shell scripting (Bash).
  • Solid foundation in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, IAM role bindings, and VPC service controls.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab, including branching strategies, GitLab CI YAML, matrix builds, parent-child pipelines, caching, and custom runner configuration.
  • Experience in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, including debugging state and providing guidance to developers.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Unix shell scripting and text processing tools.
  • Familiarity with artifact management tools such as JFrog Artifactory or GCP Artifact Registry.
  • Knowledge of embedding static analysis (SAST/DAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), and unit/integration test gates into pipelines.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and evolve scalable, reusable, and secure CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
  • Integrate deployment pipelines with change-management and compliance systems to automate change requests and pipeline gates.
  • Collaborate on building secure, repeatable deployment templates for GCP services.
  • Create CI/CD templates and self-service automation for product engineering teams.
  • Author clear and accessible developer playbooks, architectural diagrams, and migration guides.
