Description

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Salary Range: $48-$53 per hr on W2

Introduction

This role involves building data integration pipelines as part of a significant acquisition project. The candidate will work extensively with AWS, DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Terraform, and Kubernetes, and various Amazon services such as EC2, EKS, S3, Redshift, RabbitMQ, RDS, and Route 53.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience with automation
  • 2 years of experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, GitLab, and general CI/CD workflows
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, EKS, and EMR
  • Understanding of Architectural Principles: Well-Architected Framework, High Availability & Disaster Recovery, Design Patterns
  • Proficiency in AWS DevOps, CI/CD, IaC, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab
  • 4 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer, system administrator, or software engineer
  • Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Shell, Go, or Ruby
  • Hands-on exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong working experience with AWS and its services
  • Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure platform using modern IaC practices
  • Support the development and operation of CI/CD pipelines
  • Build and operate infrastructure utilizing container orchestration such as EKS/K8S
  • Write automation scripts and tooling to improve system reliability
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions
  • Implement and maintain logging solutions for efficient troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with software development and systems integration teams
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
  • Work with security teams to ensure platform compliance
