Description
Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a DevOps Engineer for their Charlotte, NC/New York, NY location.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision AWS resources efficiently and reliably.
Build, configure, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment of applications.
Deploy and manage AWS services, including EC2, EKS, S3, MSK, Lambda, and RDS, ensuring optimal configuration and security.
Automate application builds, deployments, and infrastructure updates by integrating IaC tools into CI/CD workflows.
Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other logging/monitoring solutions.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and enhance deployment automation.
Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and performance improvements.
Enforce security best practices, including IAM roles, policies, secrets management, and network configuration.
Requirements:
Proficient in Terraform, including modules, state management, and provider configurations for AWS.
Strong experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeBuild.
Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services, including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, Route53, Security Groups, and MSK.
Experience managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Firm understanding of infrastructure provisioning, automation, and cloud operations.
Familiarity with configuration management and scripting using Bash, Python, or similar.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying technical challenges and solutions.
