Job Description
The Development Project Manager is responsible for:
- Manage affordable housing development projects from pre-development through execution.
- Coordinate with municipal, state, and regulatory agencies throughout entitlement and approval processes.
- Support and manage affordable housing financing applications, funding requirements, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, attorneys, lenders, architects, and community stakeholders.
- Track development budgets, schedules, milestones, and project deliverables.
- Facilitate meetings with government agencies, community groups, and project partners.
- Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects moving forward.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and project documentation.
- Support multiple development projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and schedule expectations.
- Work directly with senior development leadership on strategic development initiatives and project execution.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Development Project Manager should have:
- Minimum of 5 years of affordable housing development experience.
- Direct affordable housing development experience in Massachusetts, with strong knowledge of the Boston market.
- Understanding of affordable housing programs, funding structures, and financing mechanisms.
- Experience working with city, state, and governmental agencies involved in affordable housing development.
- Knowledge of entitlement, permitting, approval, and public funding processes.
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
