Position Overview
Salary Range: $68,138.93 - $91,246.48 annually. Salary reflects Step 1 and Step 7 of a 7-step pay scale. Salary at hiring will be dependent upon the applicants education, experience, and training.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Summary:
Responsible for project coordination for projects in the City's Development process and other projects as assigned. Area of work includes working closely with developers, contractors, designers, and all affected City departments. This position performs a full range of duties as assigned, working both collaboratively and independently and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.
Scope of Responsibility:
Incumbent demonstrates familiarity with department and functional operations, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, perform under pressure and work with minimal assistance or supervision. With overall guidance from senior management, incumbent will make decisions by applying established management and professional principles. Incumbent may develop or recommend new ways of solving complex and technical problems. Work product has noticeable impact on departmental operations, development projects in the city, as well as some impact on the overall City operation. Incumbent must have the ability to exercise discretion regarding confidential matters, which requires considerable tact, sense of timing and the ability to engender trust. Incumbent provides a high level of support to customers and the Building Official.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Primarily work is indoors in a normal office environment. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of 25 pounds or less and outside work is required. Work requires attention to detail or deadlines between 55% and 80% of the time. A typical workday involves about 75% of the time spent sitting and frequent use of a keyboard. In some department applications, it may be necessary to drive on occasion or attend events at various locations.
