Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree or similar related degree required from a university with an engineering program accredited by the Accrediting Board for Engineering and Technology. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with a Civil Engineering degree. Must be Professional Engineer licensed in Texas or obtain license within 12 months of appointment to position. Texas driver's license, Class C, is required. Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience required in civil engineering practice, preferably with a municipality or county government. Professional, supervisory, administrative and technical knowledge in civil engineering design, construction and related fields required. Demonstrated proficiency required regarding making sound decision-making, including but not limited to civil engineering design and best engineering practices.
