    Linney is a world-class, multichannel marketing services business. Due to continued growth, Linney display is offering an exciting opportunity for a development designer/cardboard engineer join our award-winning team.

    The right candidate for this role might have a background in cardboard engineering, packaging, structural design or product design.

    We are looking for a problem solver who loves a challenge and works well as a diverse team to take highly creative concepts through to a final product or display.

    We design semi-permanent displays and packaging concepts for well-loved global and high-street brands and we are looking for candidates with experience in engineering software such as ArtiosCAD, AutoCAD, KASEMAKE, Impact or similar.

    The successful candidate will work collaboratively with 3D designers, graphic designers, engineers and project managers.

    Key tasks:

    • Generating award-winning cardboard engineering cutter guides
    • Weight testing and experimentation with new structures, prototypes and materials
    • Tackling a range of briefs from simple shelf trays to complex free-standing displays and events sites

    Essential experience and skills:

    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
    • An awareness of value engineering and developing manufacturing efficiencies
    • Excellent communication skills to liaise with designers and sales teams, ensuring that designs adhere to both client specification and retail guidelines
    • Enjoyment of working a fast-paced studio environment and ability to pivot from job to job with ease
    • Being happy to push the boundaries of the possible and challenge convention
