SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Mainframe Application Developer III for a remoteopportunity for candidates working EST hours.Candidate will develop, enhance, test, and troubleshoot complex mainframe applications supporting critical business operations. The role encompasses application analysis, technical design, programming, debugging, and implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver dependable solutions.
Required Qualifications of the Mainframe Application Developer III:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in application development, systems testing, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting mainframe applications.
- Strong proficiency with COBOL, TSO, and JCL.
- Experience with JHS and NDVR.
- Strong knowledge of software development, testing, quality assurance, and application integration methodologies.
- Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Mainframe Application Developer III:
- Experience with DB2 and IMS.
- Familiarity with project management concepts and enterprise application development practices.
- Experience supporting complex, high-volume or business-critical mainframe systems.
Responsibilities of the Mainframe Application Developer III:
- Analyze business and technical requirements and develop logical solutions for complex application needs.
- Design, code, test, debug, modify, and implement mainframe application programs.
- Investigate application issues and perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve defects or system problems.
- Evaluate technical specifications and recommend modifications or improvements when appropriate.
- Participate in integration, quality assurance, testing, and implementation activities throughout the application lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives and provide ongoing technical support.
