Developer III

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Developer III for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. Candidate will support the modernization, enhancement, and deployment of enterprise web applications within a large-scale customer-focused technical environment. This role will focus heavily on front-end development initiatives while collaborating across teams to deliver scalable solutions supporting high-visibility business operations.

Required Qualifications for the Developer III:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in application development, systems testing, or related technical disciplines
• Hands-on experience with front-end web development technologies including Vue.js, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with content management platforms, web deployment technologies, and container-based application development
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, application integration, and quality assurance practices
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across large technical teams
• Experience supporting enterprise-level web applications and deployments across multiple environments
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and delivering high-quality work

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Developer III:

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
• Knowledge of WebSphere Liberty and Java application development
• Experience developing or supporting microservices architectures
• Familiarity with large-scale web application upgrades and modernization initiatives
• Experience supporting customer-facing enterprise or government-related applications
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies and collaborative delivery environments
• Understanding of both front-end and back-end web technologies
• Ability to adapt quickly to evolving technical processes and environments

Responsibilities of the  Developer III:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications and related system integrations
• Support front-end modernization efforts, application deployments, and platform upgrades
• Analyze technical requirements and develop scalable solutions aligned with business objectives
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform debugging activities, and support production environments
• Create technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and functional specifications for application enhancements
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and project teams across multiple concurrent initiatives

Work Location: Hybrid work schedule preferred with onsite collaboration several days per week in Columbia, SC.
