Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Developer-Full Stack Senior for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA/ Plano, TX. The ideal candidate must have proven ability to explain complex technical designs, educate developers on best practices, and drive adoption of innovative tooling and CI/CD improvements.

Rate Range: $85/Hour to $90/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer-Full Stack Senior Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and support developer workspace solutions across physical desktops, virtual environments, and browser-based platforms.

• Develop and maintain custom tools and automation solutions using Python and Java to improve developer productivity and streamline workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance developer onboarding, day-to-day support, and overall developer experience.

• Define, document, and communicate technical designs, while mentoring and educating developers on engineering best practices and standards.

• Drive CI/CD improvements through automation, tooling enhancements, and the adoption of modern development frameworks and libraries.

• Manage desktop provisioning, software distribution, and workspace lifecycle processes using technologies such as SCCM, VDI, and related platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in software development, developer tooling, or workspace engineering.

• Advanced proficiency in Python and Java development, with strong expertise in designing, explaining, and mentoring developers on technical solutions and best practices.

• Experience building and supporting developer workspaces, CI/CD tooling, desktop provisioning solutions, and developer enablement initiatives across enterprise environments.

Pay Details: $85.00 to $90.00 per hour
