Required Skills & Qualifications

• Candidates must have 5 years of relevant development experience with strong hands-on experience in Python and PySpark.
• Experience with Legacy code and solid exposure to modernizing projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience.
• 5 years of experience in delivering solutions using Software Development Life Cycle.
• 5 years’ experience in delivering Data Engineering solutions using Python, PySpark and AWS (S3, Glue, EMR, Data Lake, Delta Lake).
• 3 years’ experience working with complex SQL queries and Unix environment.
• Ability to lead a team of junior developers.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Knowledge of Big Data tools and applications.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and reliable data solutions to move data across systems from multiple sources in real time as well as batch modes.
• Identify and deliver innovative and automation solutions in the areas of data engineering including technology implementations using Agile construct.
• Support residual legacy applications while implementing modern cloud solutions.
• Understand business and establish strong partnership with stakeholders including Product Owners and Scrum Masters.
• Quickly learn new and legacy technologies and paradigms to deploy cutting-edge solutions.
• Support applications, including providing fixes to production defects and making enhancements.
• Provide production support and clear communication on the resolution of incidents.
