Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate is responsible for developing secure, high-performance full-stack solutions, managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform and CI/CD, and ensuring reliable deployment and system performance.
Rate Range: $41/Hour to $56/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Developer Job Responsibilities include:
Design and develop responsive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces using React.js and Next.js.
Build and maintain secure, scalable backend APIs using Python and FastAPI, integrating seamlessly with AWS services.
Design, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL databases, including data modeling, query tuning, and performance improvements.
Deploy, monitor, and support cloud-native applications on AWS, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines to enable automated and repeatable deployments.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude to accelerate design, coding, testing, and documentation while maintaining quality and governance standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in full-stack application development with expertise in modern web technologies and cloud platforms.
Proven hands-on experience with React, Next.js, Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines in enterprise-scale environments.
Strong experience designing secure, scalable cloud-native solutions, with the ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality, security, and governance standards.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $56.00 per hour
