Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting custom IBM MQ exits that enable secure, high-performance messaging across enterprise environments.
Rate Range: $49/hour to $54/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Developer Job Responsibilities include:
Maintain, enhance, and support IBM MQ channel exits, API exits, and message exits using C programming to meet enterprise messaging requirements.
Develop and optimize thread-safe, high-performance MQ exit solutions for authentication, authorization, message transformation, and observability.
Integrate IBM MQ exit functionality with external systems such as LDAP, REST APIs, and enterprise security platforms.
Provide Level 3 production support, troubleshoot MQ-related issues, and perform root cause analysis for messaging platform incidents.
Collaborate with platform and application teams to modernize legacy MQ implementations and evaluate native IBM MQ capabilities.
Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, code standards, and operational runbooks while supporting lifecycle management of MQ exit solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
8-10 years of experience in IBM MQ administration, MQ development, middleware support, and enterprise messaging platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ channel exits, API exits, message exits, and advanced C programming in multi-threaded environments.
Proven expertise in IBM MQ internals, LDAP/REST API integrations, production support, troubleshooting, and modernization of enterprise messaging solutions.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $54.00 per hour
