Job Details:
Snowflake Development & Optimization:
• Design and develop data models, schemas, and optimized queries in Snowflake.
• Implement performance tuning strategies (clustering, caching, partitioning) to enhance query performance.
• Manage Snowflake roles, access controls, and security policies to ensure data governance.
Cloud Data Engineering:
• Deploy and manage Snowflake on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Integrate Snowflake with cloud storage (S3, ADLS, GCS) and cloud data services.
• Automate data ingestion, transformation, and processing using cloud-native tools.
ETL/ELT & Pipeline Development:
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using tools like dbt, Matillion, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and integrity throughout the pipeline.
• Work with structured, semi-structured (JSON, Parquet, Avro), and unstructured data.
Security & Compliance:
• Implement data encryption, masking, and access control policies in Snowflake.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, or industry security standards.
• Monitor data usage and optimize storage and compute costs.
Collaboration & Agile Development:
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to define data solutions.
• Participate in agile development, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Document best practices, architectural decisions, and data governance policies.
