Developer - AI Engineer

Build, fine-tune, and evaluate machine learning models using Python, Java, and open-source frameworks. Architect and operationalize responsible AI systems, including generative AI applications and RLHF instruction models.

MUST:

Active : IRS MBI Clearance required 
Experienced AI Engineer with 7 plus years of professional experience
Experience supporting complex AI/ML initiatives and enterprise applications
Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI and AWS cloud services
Strong proficiency in Python AI application development
Deep understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks
Experience with advanced prompt engineering techniques and Large Language Models (LLMs)
Experience developing, optimizing, and deploying machine learning models
Experience with cloud infrastructure management and AWS GovCloud
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience implementing AI development standards and model evaluation frameworks
Strong project management and technical delivery leadership skills
Experience working in Agile development environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
Must possess an active IRS MBI clearance with current Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

DUTIES:

Lead the development and optimization of prompt engineering strategies
Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks
Develop and deploy AI applications using Python, Azure OpenAI, and AWS cloud services
Architect and operationalize responsible AI systems, including generative AI applications and RLHF instruction models
Build, fine-tune, and evaluate machine learning models using Python, Java, and open-source frameworks
Apply advanced natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques to complex business challenges
Implement AI guardrails, performance benchmarks, and model evaluation frameworks
Establish reproducible experiment tracking, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code to support scalable AI deployments
Manage AI project delivery and provide technical implementation leadership
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise systems
Partner with leadership and stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and develop strategic roadmaps
Conduct peer code reviews and maintain technical documentation
Translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
Support the modernization of IRS legacy tax processing systems through advanced AI technologies
