Position Summary

The Detail Pruning Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all detail pruning operations within the branch. This position ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. The Detail Pruning Production Manager provides leadership and support to field teams, develops employees, and works closely with branch leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and operational success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, organize, and schedule all detail pruning operations.
  • Ensure crews have the equipment, materials, and information necessary to complete assigned work safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor job progress to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Directly supervise and support the Detail Pruning Foreman.
  • Recruit, train, coach, develop, and evaluate detail pruning team members.
  • Address employee performance concerns and administer corrective action when necessary.
  • Assist crews in the field as needed to meet operational demands, deadlines, or customer expectations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers by ensuring high-quality service and professional communication.
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) and company software systems to track work, schedules, and customer information.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership and other departments to support company goals and operational efficiency.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Represent United Land Services in a professional, courteous, and positive manner at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in landscaping, horticulture, tree care, green industry services, or construction.
  • Knowledge of pruning techniques, plant health, and landscape maintenance practices preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize CRM and other company software systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Positive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service and team development.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to operate and inspect landscape equipment and vehicles.
  • Ability to safely navigate uneven terrain, job sites, and active work areas.
  • Visual and auditory ability to recognize hazards and communicate effectively with crews and customers.
