Description
My name is Sibin, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a staffing firm and are currently seeking Desktop Technician IV for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Mineral Point, WI. Details of the position are as follows:
Type: Onsite
Location: 856 Fair Street, Mineral Point, WI 53565 (occasional support for Stoughton and Janesville, WI)
Pay: $31.80/hr on W2
Duration: 6.5 months

Job Description
Provide onsite desktop support, hardware/software troubleshooting, imaging, and printer/peripheral support.
Set up and maintain Windows clients and servers according to documented procedures.
Configure and monitor data closet equipment, servers, UPS systems, network devices, and site health.
Perform client/server maintenance including patches, agent installation, imaging, backup/recovery, and incident troubleshooting.
Assist with server operations, cable runs, cable termination, and network infrastructure activities.
Maintain network IDF changes, port mappings, and related technical documentation.
Escort vendors performing maintenance on data closet and network systems.
Support Active Directory, antivirus systems, Windows security settings, and basic network connectivity.
Provide onsite IT support across Mineral Point, Stoughton, and Janesville locations.
Prioritize candidates located within approximately 30 minutes of the Mineral Point site.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Skills
3–5 years of desktop/IT support experience.
Desktop hardware/software troubleshooting and computer imaging.
Printer and peripheral troubleshooting.
Basic network infrastructure knowledge, including TCP/IP, switching, and common network devices.
Windows XP through Windows 11 support experience.
Windows Server 2008 through 2019 experience.
Active Directory and basic Windows security administration.
Antivirus systems and endpoint maintenance.
Microsoft Office.
Telnet/ PuTTY clients and Remote Desktop.
Imaging software for computer backup and recovery.
Server and client setup, patching, and agent installation.
Data closet, server, UPS, IDF, and network equipment support.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial plant environments.
Experience with network cable runs, termination, IDF changes, and port mapping.
Experience supporting multiple onsite facilities.
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Experience with site health monitoring and data closet operations.
Familiarity with vendor maintenance activities involving servers and network infrastructure.
