Our client is currently seeking a qualified
Desktop Support Technician to join their team
onsite in Seattle, WA. This role provides onsite and remote technical support for desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related IT equipment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end users, maintaining equipment inventories, and ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically proficient, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, and related technology
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues
Install, configure, image, deploy, and maintain endpoint devices according to established procedures
Perform equipment moves, adds, changes, and refresh activities
Respond to incidents and service requests through designated ticketing systems and ensure accurate documentation of work performed
Track, update, and resolve support tickets within established service level agreements (SLAs)
Assist with inventory management, asset tracking, device lifecycle activities, and equipment audits
Receive, stage, configure, and deploy new hardware and software
Support end users in person, over the phone, and through remote support tools
Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including wireless connectivity, network access, printers, and peripheral devices
Escalate complex issues to higher-level technical teams when appropriate
Assist with operating system upgrades, software installations, patching, and technology rollout projects
Support backup and recovery activities as directed
Maintain knowledge base articles and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Follow established security, compliance, and operational procedures
Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure consistent service delivery
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
Minimum 1 to 3+ years of desktop support, help desk, field services, or technical support experience
Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications
Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless connectivity
Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or comparable ITSM tools
Familiarity with desktop imaging, software deployment, and hardware break/fix activities
Experience supporting printers, peripherals, mobile devices, and endpoint hardware
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact professionally with technical and non-technical users
Wage Range:
The rate for this position is between
$19.50 - $26.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
