About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical support to employees and ensure the smooth operation of end-user computing environments. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring devices, and delivering exceptional customer service to internal users.
The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving technology-related challenges.
What You'll Do
- Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windows, Microsoft 365, browsers, and enterprise applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment setup and recovery.
- Document incidents, requests, and resolutions within the ticketing system.
- Assist with software deployments, upgrades, and system updates.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
- Provide outstanding customer service and user training as needed.
Qualifications
Experience
- 2+ years of desktop support, technical support, or IT support experience.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a business environment.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management processes.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
Technical Skills
- Windows operating systems

Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
- Experience supporting hybrid or remote workforces.
- Knowledge of endpoint management tools and device deployment processes.
Education
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
