    Description

    Our client is seeking a temporary Technical Support Technician to provide on-site technology support to attorneys and business services staff. This individual will serve as a key member of the local Technology Services team, providing hands-on support for end-user hardware, software, mobile devices, conference room technology, and other day-to-day IT operations. The role requires strong technical aptitude, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively with IT teams. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, proactive, and comfortable providing support in a professional services environment where responsiveness, attention to detail, and excellent service delivery are essential.



    This is an onsite position- M-F 830-5:00 in downtown Chicago. Pay rate ranges $35-50 per hour, depending on experience level. 3 month initial contract, potential for extensions/conversion to FTE based on performance and team needs.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide deskside and remote technical support for hardware, software, and mobile device issues.
    • Troubleshoot, research, and resolve end-user technology issues.
    • Configure, deploy, and support firm-standard laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals.
    • Support conference room technology and assist with audio/visual meetings as needed.
    • Assist with office moves, equipment installations, and hardware replacements.
    • Maintain accurate ticket documentation and communicate status updates to users.
    • Escalate issues appropriately to ensure prompt resolution and minimal business impact.
    • Provide proactive customer service and manage user expectations.

    Technical Requirements

    • Windows desktop and laptop support
    • Microsoft Office application support
    • Printer troubleshooting and support
    • Mobile device support (iPhone and Android)
    • Hardware deployment, imaging, and configuration
    • Basic understanding of Active Directory, Exchange, VPN, DNS, and DHCP
    • Video conferencing and conference room technology support

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of IT support or deskside support experience.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
    • Experience supporting laptops, printers, mobile devices, and common business applications.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional services environment.
    • Law firm experience is a plus.
