    Description

    The Desktop IT Technician is responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line technical support across KDM's corporate network infrastructure. This role supports end-users across both office and manufacturing environments diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining systems and peripherals, managing user accounts, and ensuring IT policies and security standards are consistently followed. The ideal candidate is a calm, service-oriented problem-solver who communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical users.
     
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • End-User Support & Help Desk
    • Systems & Equipment Administration
    • Network & Security
    • Project & Process Support
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
    • 3–4 years of experience in a desktop support, help desk, or IT technician role.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting end-users in a Windows environment with Active Directory.
    • Experience with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting across desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
    Preferred
    • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
    • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft certification (e.g., MD-102 Endpoint Administrator).
    • Familiarity with IT ticketing/helpdesk systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshdesk, Zendesk).
    • Basic knowledge of SQL.
    • Experience with enterprise software deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Altiris).
