Overview:
Senior UI designer The senior UI designer is a design professional who creates visually appealing product and marketing content across digital platforms for our website and app. This role requires expertise in mobile-first and desktop design, online marketing, and engaging audiences through high-quality, cohesive digital experiences.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate across teams to align visual design with overarching strategies (campaign, site, and user experience).
  • Work cross-functionally with writers, producers, and strategists to deliver on-brand creative work.
  • Work closely with technology and brand teams to troubleshoot site issues and update components to align with brand and business requirements, including accessibility.
  • Use style guides for consistent design and language across projects and products.
  • Factor in usability testing results when making design and creative decisions.
  • Advocate for growth in design by contributing to the evolution of CLIENT design systems and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of emerging design trends and technology and how they may boost the customer experience.
  • Communicate openly, share knowledge, and promote process (CLIENT ways of working).
  • Help cover teammates’ workload as needed. Core competencies & requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, UI/UX design, visual communication, or similar.
  • Three+ years of related experience.
  • Portfolio featuring digital campaigns for various touchpoints and marketing channels.
  • In-house or ad agency experience a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in digital brand experience and customer-focused thinking.
  • Experience making data-driven design decisions to drive engagement and conversion.
  • Well-versed in accessibility standards, responsive design, and current design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting work.
  • Able to challenge the status quo and bring creative solutions that go beyond the brief, support the strategy, and drive the business forward.
  • Familiar with business- and consumer-audience needs.
  • Background in telecom, technology, or similar complex industry a plus.
  • Experience with Workfront or similar project management system.
 
Overall Purpose:
Senior User Interface (UI) Designer to work with UI and UX leads, UX and UI designers, business owners, product managers, and engineers (developers) to build high quality user-centered solutions. Roles and Responsibilities: Work with team on creative brainstorming, ideation, rapid-prototyping, and other problem-solving with user experience and visual designers, engineers, and other stakeholders on multiple projects.
1) Strong collaboration and alignment with teams responsible for online and mobile experiences ensuring needs me across all media.
2) Design UI comps that reflect sound UX thinking using traditional visual design principles and tools (visual hierarchy, composition, typography, color theory, etc.).
3) Work closely with UX designers and internal user researchers to support usability and focus group test plans and prototype support (paper or interactive prototypes, as appropriate).
4) Strong collaboration skills required to work effectively within and across teams with multiple personality types and cultural backgrounds.
5) Must be able to contribute productively, constructively, and respectfully to debates during solution development. Requires clarity in speech, writing, and presentations to a variety of audiences (ex: engineers, managers, executives).
