Are you detail-driven, technically minded and passionate about turning ideas into precise, production-ready designs? We re hiring a Designer Drafter in Columbus, NE to create the drawings and documentation that help bring manufacturing equipment and components to life.

This full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical drafting, problem-solving and collaboration in a manufacturing environment. You ll work closely with engineering and production teams to transform concepts and shop-floor needs into accurate drawings that support safe, efficient manufacturing.
What You ll Do

  • Create detailed drawings for manufacturing equipment, components and parts

  • Create ERP items and develop accurate bills of material (BOMs)

  • Collaborate with team members on new product designs and improvements to existing products

  • Work directly with production teams to ensure drawings are clear, accurate and practical for manufacturing

  • Update and maintain existing drawings as designs and production needs change

  • Complete drawings and bills of material according to established schedules and drafting standards

  • Apply appropriate quality controls including GD&T requirements as needed

  • Help turn production challenges and improvement ideas into workable design solutions
What We re Looking For

  • Knowledge of general drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Ability to learn and follow established engineering and drafting standards

  • Ability to quickly learn Autodesk Inventor, Vault and JD Edwards ERP software

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with engineering, production and other team members

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to complete projects according to established deadlines

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality
