    Description

    AMG, Inc. is looking for an Electrical Designer to support both our engineering projects and our in-house AMG Custom Controls division. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on electrical design and wants exposure to both engineering and control panel applications.
    You’d be working in our Dayton headquarters and have the opportunity to learn interdisciplinary design fundamentals from other engineers and provide technical design support to our in-house custom control panel shop where we do both design and fabrication.

    This is a salaried position. Pay is based on experience, design capabilities and current level of expertise in the field.     General Responsibilities
    • Develop electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and circuit layouts.
    • Create and modify electrical drawings using **Revit**.
    • Support electrical engineering projects from design through fabrication and installation.
    • Assist with PLC and HMI-related electrical design and documentation.
    • Support control panel design and fabrication through AMG Custom Controls.
    • Collaborate with engineers, designers, fabricators, and project teams to develop practical, buildable solutions.

    Qualifications
    • Proficiency with Revit is required.
    • Experience with electrical design, wiring, cables, circuits, and electrical documentation.
    • Working knowledge of PLCs and HMIs.
    • Control panel design or fabrication experience is highly desired.
    • 2-year degree in electrical design, electrical engineering technology, or a related field with at least 3 years of electrical design experience, or a 4-year degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or a related field with at least 2 years of electrical design experience.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
