Design Technology Coordinator

As a full service, multi-discipline engineering consulting firm, we support manufacturing facilities and clients in many key areas including: EPC/Turnkey projects, project feasibility studies, process improvement analysis, new process design, process upgrades, air pollution abatement technology and integration, environmental compliance, product design, industrial capital projects, and detailed project/construction estimates. This individual works directly with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support design development, resolve technical challenges, and implement modeling solutions that improve project outcomes.

The Design Technology Coordinator is responsible for executing 3D modeling deliverables, coordinating project design environments, and maintaining CAD/BIM data in alignment with PDI standards and client requirements.
This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and coordination of digital models throughout the project lifecycle.
The Design Technology Coordinator collaborates closely with Project Managers and the Director of Technology to support efficient project execution through established software platforms, workflows, and standards. While Project Managers maintain ownership of project delivery, the Design Technology Coordinator assists with project setup, digital file organization, standards implementation, and technical coordination of design deliverables to help ensure projects remain organized, compliant, and delivery-ready throughout the project lifecycle.

This individual works directly with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support design development, resolve technical challenges, and implement modeling solutions that improve project outcomes.Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support project design software requirements, project setup activities, and digital project environments.
• Configure project templates, folder structures, collaboration environments, and project settings using established PDI standards and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain 3D piping specifications and modeling standards in Plant3D
• Manage and update Revit and CAD libraries in accordance with company standards in Content Catalog
• Execute 3D modeling and generate project deliverables including isometrics, orthographics, bills of material, and other design documentation.
• Assist with model coordination, including clash detection and resolution
• Perform model maintenance, file coordination, troubleshooting, and technical support for CAD/BIM users.
• Ensure adherence to established CAD/BIM standards, procedures, project workflows, and best practices.
• Manage, coordinate, and integrate laser scanning data, reality capture datasets, and point clouds into project design models and workflows.
• Support setup and administration of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / Autodesk Forma, including templates, folder structures, and permissions
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve modeling, coordination, and data integrity issues
• Coordinate project deliverable milestones by assisting teams with model organization, sheet set validation, drawing package preparation, and digital deliverable readiness.
• Assist in task coordination as directed by project leads
• Document workflows, standards, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in CAD, BIM, or VDC-related roles
• Working knowledge of CAD platforms including:
  • AutoCAD Plant3D 
  • Revit
  • Recap or CloudWorx
  • MicroStation
• Strong understanding of CAD standards, model organization, and data management
• Experience coordinating project file structures, digital deliverables, and multidisciplinary design data.
• Experience working with point clouds and 3D scanning data
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud  (ACC) / Autodesk Forma or similar collaboration platforms
• Understanding of process design within industrial sectors such as Specialty Chemical, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Power, and Manufacturing
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S., pass a drug and background test and have a valid driver's license
