Design & Release Engineer - Frames/ Structures

Introduction

We are seeking an innovative and skilled engineer to design, develop, and validate structural components for passenger trucks and vehicles. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex systems and components, designing for efficiency, and validating using engineering tools and knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD, including TCE Vis mockup, CATIA V5/V6, and 3DX
• Strong 3D modeling skills with the ability to manipulate existing CAD models
• Excellent analytical skills with an understanding of engineering first principles as applied to structural design
• Experience in Application Design, focusing on Design and Release of built-to-print or full-service supplier content
• 3 years of experience in frames or structures Design and Release
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to lead a team and work with cross-functional groups
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and Release Engineering for Frame, Mounts, Spare Tire Winches, and/or Tow Hooks
• Focus on delivering robust designs and avoiding failure modes by applying engineering disciplines such as DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans
• Lead, review, and approve Frame Structure designs to ensure delivery to component and vehicle requirements
• Resolve all durability, assembly, and functional issues identified
• Coach and mentor peer engineers through regular information exchange
• Deliver focused Material Cost Reduction, Warranty reduction, and benchmarking
