Design Lead Civil Design Engineer

In this role, you will lead and manage the design of roadway engineering projects for highway and municipal infrastructure, while also engaging in client interactions and staff oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate project tasks across different disciplines, ensuring project budgets are tracked.
• Lead design tasks for both preliminary and final roadway projects.
• Maintain high-quality work output in accordance with quality management standards.
• Create project documentation, including reports, studies, construction plans, and permit applications.
• Engage with clients, regulatory authorities, and the public as needed to advance project objectives.
• Provide training and guidance to engineers and other team members.
• Support business development activities, including helping with proposal development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation design as a Civil Engineer.
• Proficiency in developing construction plans and documents using AutoDesk or Bentley design software.
• Demonstrated experience creating studies, reports, technical specifications, permit applications, cost estimates, and other project-related documents.
• A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in roles with increasing levels of responsibility in Civil Engineering.
• Proven ability to manage projects, teams, or tasks effectively.
