We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of one of the leading companies in the construction industry. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Design Engineer, you will be expected to:
1. Design and develop complex structural systems for commercial steel construction projects, ensuring that all designs adhere to required specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
2. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals on project design and implementation.
3. Use advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed structural designs and plans.
4. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the construction process aligns with the design plans and specifications.
5. Provide technical advice to project teams, offering innovative solutions to design challenges.
6. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate design concepts, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
7. Continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards, and be willing to apply this knowledge to daily tasks.
8. Manage project resources and timelines, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher will be considered a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically in structural and commercial steel construction.
3. A valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
4. Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering design tools.
5. A strong understanding of engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
8. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and a thorough understanding of construction regulations and standards.
