    Description

    Sterling Engineering is partnering with a growing manufacturer in Wood Dale, IL to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer. This is a hands-on product design role for an engineer or designer with experience taking fabricated metal products from concept through production.
     
    Location: Wood Dale, IL 60191
    Salary: $75,000–$90,000
    Hire Type: Direct Hire

    What You’ll Do
    Design and develop custom fabricated metal products and assemblies
    Create detailed production drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly prints
    Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
    Design parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
    Work with sheet metal and other fabricated metal components
    Translate concepts and customer requirements into manufacturable designs
    Work directly with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs can be efficiently fabricated and assembled

    What We’re Looking For
