Job Title: Design Engineer, Structural

Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Support structural designs, work with the module manufacturing facility to develop complete design on seismic, thermal and structural and coordinate structural design with architectural / electrical / thermal / mechanical.
BS in Mechanical Engineering with years of mechanical/structural experience
Knowledge in AutoCAD / Autodesk
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience in construction drawings and equipment specifications
Knowledge of local and national building codes
Work to compliance with federal, state building codes
Design of mechanical parts, create designs and provide Schematic for structural design aspects of the solution
Static / Dynamic calculations
Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer on thermal transfer calculations
Welding procedure and inspection specification
Develop Dimensional test procedure, structural load test procedure and calculation, Quality control during execution
Support all site module
Work with fabrication teams and validate construction process, welding specifications and inspection of the module
Priority 1 Must Have:
Mechanical Engineering degree
Mechanical / Structural Design experience
AutoCAD / Autodesk
Construction drawings and equipment specifications
Local, national, federal, and state building codes
Static and Dynamic Calculations
Mechanical parts design and structural schematics
Structural load calculations and testing
Structural design coordination with Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, and Architectural teams
Priority 2 Preferred:
Seismic and structural design
Thermal transfer calculations
Welding procedures and inspection specifications
Structural load test procedure development
Dimensional test procedures
Quality control during execution
Fabrication process validation
Nice to Have:

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
