Job Summary:This role involves creating essential design documentation, including 3D models and 2D drawings, while actively participating in design reviews. You will develop solutions to meet design targets and manage suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality parts. The position also requires contributing to process improvements and maintaining competitiveness through design benchmarking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical reports.
- Participate in design reviews and report key metrics.
- Develop countermeasures for cost, mass, and fatigue targets.
- Manage North American suppliers for on-time part delivery.
- Drive process improvements for design deliverables.
Must-Have Skills:
- Demonstrable CAD skills
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- 4+ years automotive design/development experience
This role requires experience in the automotive industry, specifically with conventional, hybrid, and electrified powertrains.
