Job Title: Design Engineer Mechanical Thermal
Location: Pelzer Point, SC
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time
Pay Rate: $40-45/hr
Salary: $90K-100K/Annum
Work Model: Onsite
Experience: 5+Years
Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description: Seeking a Mechanical Thermal Design Engineer with experience in HVAC, thermal management, and ventilation system design for data centers, AC/DC power modules, and industrial facilities. The candidate will develop mechanical layouts and engineering drawings using AutoCAD, review equipment specifications, support CFD analysis, and coordinate with structural and electrical teams for seamless equipment integration.

Key Responsibilities

Design conceptual and detailed HVAC, thermal management, and ventilation systems for data centers and power modules.
Develop mechanical equipment layouts, integration drawings, cable management systems, and fire suppression layouts.
Prepare and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD/Autodesk tools.
Interpret construction drawings, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
Review and approve mechanical product submittals and support CFD analysis.
Coordinate with structural and electrical engineering teams on mechanical integration and facility design.
Research thermal technologies, data center equipment, and construction methods to support engineering solutions.
Provide technical support for mechanical systems and resolve engineering design-related issues.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering.
Relevant experience in thermal and ventilation system design.
Strong knowledge of HVAC design, mechanical layouts, and equipment integration.
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk and construction drawing interpretation.
Ability to review equipment specifications and prepare detailed engineering drawings.
Strong coordination and communication skills for cross-functional engineering projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data centers, AC/DC power modules, IT/Telecom infrastructure, or industrial facilities.
Knowledge of CFD analysis and mechanical product submittal reviews.
Experience with cable management systems, fire suppression layouts, and equipment integration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
