Description

Design Engineer responsible for developing and modifying 3D CAD models, 2D engineering drawings, layouts, and product designs using CATIA V5/V6. Supports engineering projects through design analysis, issue resolution, BOM management, technical documentation, supplier coordination, and product development activities. Works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet quality, cost, weight, performance, and project schedule requirements.

  • Requires a BS or MS in engineering and all the skills and abilities of Engineer L2.
  • Must be proficient in technical writing and possess computer skills for scientific and technical applications.
  • Must be able to proficiently handle multiple projects and develop analytical procedures.
  • Must be able to work with suppliers to assure parts/services are requested appropriately, evaluate technical proposals, and write technical reports.
  • Make technical decisions with moderate supervision.
  • Able to work with a team or on an individual basis to reach project goals.

Qualification:

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering

ADC Division Inputs:

  • Reference CAD data of previous program and similar programs.
  • Class A surface
  • Guidance sections/Start parts
  • Standards, Guidelines, and problem history documents
  • Preliminary BOM
  • Checklists

Parameters:

  • Timeframe: Sept 2026 - March 2027 (extendable)
  • Workload: ~2 FTE (~42.5hrs/week/person)
  • Hybrid Work: ~80% Onsite
  • Travel Requirements: < 5%
