LOCATION: Everett, WA
PAY RATE: $88/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Security Clearance (Active Secret or Interim Secret required to start).

  • Schedule: Full-time | 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Summary: 

  • Support the engineering design, development, integration, testing, and certification of mission avionics systems, ensuring seamless integration with software and higher-level platforms.

  • Assist in the development, validation, verification, and decomposition of system-level requirements.

  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures in support of system validation and certification activities.

  • Coordinate system-level integration of avionics hardware and software components.

  • Support execution of critical tests to validate avionics performance against system requirements.

  • Provide technical oversight and coordination with suppliers and software teams to ensure compliance with engineering and design requirements.

  • Support the full product lifecycle, including proposal development, design, production, flight testing, laboratory testing, and in-service support.

  • Conduct trade studies and support proposal efforts for future upgrades and new business opportunities.

  • Coordinate FAA, military certification, and airworthiness activities related to mission avionics systems.

  • Collaborate with specialty engineering teams, including safety, cybersecurity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) groups.

  • Troubleshoot avionics systems, production labs, and aircraft technical issues.

  • Perform technical investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions (RCCA).

  • Support communication, navigation, networking, and RF-based systems including radio systems, military GPS, Link 16, military chat systems, and related communications technologies.

Requirements:

 

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Security Clearance (Active Secret or Interim Secret required to start)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field (Electrical Engineering preferred).

  • 3+ years of engineering experience.

  • Experience with communication systems, FAA and/or military environments, troubleshooting, and systems integration.

  • Experience with RF systems, including radio communications, military GPS, Link 16, or related communication systems.

  • Networking experience.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software development processes.

  • Knowledge of RF engineering principles, communication systems, navigation systems, flight management systems, and mission control systems.

  • Experience with defensive systems, avionics troubleshooting, and aircraft systems.

  • Experience with hardware/software integration and avionics LRUs.

  • Experience with FAA and military certification requirements.

  • Experience conducting Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) and technical investigations.

  • Experience managing suppliers and technical subcontractors.

  • Experience developing requirements and evaluating maintenance, certifications, or airworthiness directives.
