Description

Practice Operations Manager — Dermatology

A growing dermatology organization is seeking a strong operations leader to oversee multiple locations and help lead the organization through its next stage of growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a people-focused leader and problem-solver who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and turning ideas into action.

The role will initially oversee the Sugar Land and Richmond locations, with the potential to add responsibility for a future Cypress location. The ideal candidate is someone who is ready to step into a larger operational leadership role with a long-term path toward Chief Operating Officer (COO).

What You'll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day business operations across multiple locations
  • Lead, manage, and develop teams and location managers
  • Own hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations
  • Address employee concerns and resolve personnel and operational issues
  • Serve as a key problem-solver and escalation point for the organization
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer/patient experience, and overall performance
  • Take ownership of special projects and initiatives that drive growth
  • Research and evaluate opportunities to add new services and product lines
  • Source vendors, research pricing, and help develop implementation plans for new initiatives
  • Partner with leadership to execute strategic projects and opportunities
  • Help build scalable processes as the organization continues to grow
  • Support additional locations and increased operational responsibility as the organization expands

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading people, teams, and business operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • A hands-on problem-solving and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Someone who takes initiative and can identify what needs to be done without waiting for direction
  • Comfortable hiring, training, coaching, and holding employees accountable
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, teams, and locations
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to research, evaluate, and implement new opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership of special projects
  • Healthcare or medical practice experience is helpful, but clinical experience is not required
  • HR experience is not required; this role will take significant ownership of people management
  • Revenue cycle/billing experience is not a priority, as the organization has a dedicated billing department

Why This Opportunity?

This is not a regular Practice Manager role. The organization is looking for someone who can think beyond day-to-day management, take ownership of operations, build strong teams, solve problems, and help drive growth.

The right person will have a clear opportunity to grow into a COO-level leadership position and become a key part of the organization's long-term leadership team. As the organization expands into additional locations and service lines, this individual will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on its growth and direction.

If you're an operational leader who is ready to take ownership, build something meaningful, and grow alongside a successful organization, we'd love to hear from you.
